Because of this website, we get sent a lot of new music. Some, from bands we’ve heard of but most from “unknown” bands. Now and then, you hear a track that sounds recogniseable as the band’s influences shine through without sounding like blatant plagiarism. When I first heard the new track, Darwinism from Australian band, Holy Holy; it conjured up images and sounds from bands such as The National, Interpol and a little bit of The Maccabees. To me, this is a perfect recipe for great, anthemic indie rock.


I’m not going to review the track as I’m going to wait for the album to be released (or sent to me for review purposes) which, if this track is anything to go by will propel them to the point of getting noticed within the UK and the rest of the world. Until then, here’s the new video…
