So, I recently reviewed Gameshow, the third album from Irish Indie rockers Two Door Cinema Club (Click here to read that if you missed it). I wanted to review it on the day of its release but  mentioned that I’d been quite busy recently getting my first step on to the property ladder. I’m very pleased to report that myself and my girlfriend have now had an offer accepted and are now homeowners, albeit subject to contract and all that property jargon…

Never a website to shy from tedious links and throwaway blog pieces, I recently sat down with my good friend Phil Spencer off of Location, Location, Location and subsequently Relocation, Relocation. We got drunk (he was saying some pretty shocking things about Kirstie Allsopp actually which, for Phil’s sake, I won’t be repeating. I’m sure it was just the copious amount of drink talking and not his true thoughts) and just came up with some “wicked” DJ sets. Songs were mostly and coincidentally house related actually. (Oh, how we laughed.) Hilarious night. Top lad.*

Anyhow, here’s some of the songs we played which just so happen to mention houses and homes…

Animals / House Of The Rising Sun

The Cure / In Your House

Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros / Home

LCD Soundsystem / Daft Punk Is Playing At My House

Everything Everything / The House is Dust

Two Door Cinema Club / Come Back Home

Depeche Mode / Here is the House

Blur / Country House

Arctic Monkeys / Still Take You Home

Ozzy Osbourne / Mama, I’m Comin’ Home

The Kinks / A Long Way from Home

Julian Cox / Location Location Location theme

Choices by Robert Smith(@robertmsmith) and Phil Spencer (@PipofftheTV)
